Hi,
I'm Luke and I've been owning reptiles for 5 years now. I have a wide collection of reptiles including uromastyx occelatus and geyri, rankin's dragons, leopard and hermanns tortoises, yemen chameleons (hypermelanistic and piebalds), fiji iguanas, white's tree frogs, amazonian milk frogs, ackies and not forgetting my recently purchased lizards....my two b&w argie Tegus. I hope to learn a lot from you experienced keepers, and maybe, eventually, help others.
that looks to be a red arg tegu because b&w would be a ton darker and ive noticed the patern to be a bit different with the b&w's and the reds so i just thinks its a red _________________ Goals:100 posts DONE!

Hey youre welcome!
You have a beautiful Chameleon. I just have a question about it. Is it true that manipulating a Chameleon reduce his life esperance? I mean, I heard that manipulated Chameleon have a shorter life than Chameleon that aren't manipulated?
Thanks again.
I can't really comment on that because I haven't had one of these chameleons die of old age yet, but I have heard that manipulating them does shorten their life span, but I can't be certain to say. Sorry

Welcome to the Tegu forum (family) and congrats on your new babies .I'm with spencer, your Tegu does look like it is a red one.If it is good luck because they are a little harder to take care of because they need a little bit more of a different diet because of there collar.I have two arg.bw.Tegus and they don't look like that. They are more bw.But if you can take care of them the right way than it doesn't matter what they are as long as you are happy with them.I hope you are going to enjoy them as much as I have mine.Take care.
