Hi folks, had a good look on here and you all seem to have some good knowledge on tagu's. i havn't got one just yet as im doing some reading on them and setting up my equipment for one (hopefully in acouple of weeks) i was going for a bosc or nile monitor until i saw these and fell in love, i think they are really my cuppa tea. been looking on youtube at vids and they seem easier to tame than monitors, also most of the monitor vids on there are just the "look at what my monitor can kill" kind not many good vids on how to care for them. anyway enough of that, im Dan pleased to meet you. i will post some more of my questions up later thanks icon_biggrin.gif

Welcome to the Tegu forum ( family ).Don't worry about asking a lot of questions. We are here to help.I would recommend getting a baby Tegu. They are very easy to tame.I have two of the argentine black and white Tegus and I love them.It would help a lot if you could have your ( soon to be ) new Tegus home ready for when he/she comes home.It is very smart of you to do some research on the Tegus first.Good job.Good luck with finding the one you like.Just in case you don't know that yet there are two different types of Tegus. The argentine one and the columbian one.I think the argentine Tegus are a lot easier to tame. But that is just what I think.Take care.

Most of monitor are hard to tame...

But I'd seems that Tegu is the best reptile of all. I still never heard a bad comments about them.

You will make a great choice.

Welcome to the forum!!!
