Just wondering if anyone has ever used like 8" pvc pipe as a hide? You could bury it and simulate a burrow. I've never done it, just a thought. icon_idea.gif

I've seen a photo on this website that had a large pvc pipe in an enclosure for that very purpose (a hide).

I used to have a big piece in Booger's enclosure and he loved it, but his big butt eventually got too big for it. It would also amplify his huffs, making him sound like a monster. icon_twisted.gif

well if i could get like 1' or anything close i would make a 3 foot tunnel with the side cut on one end. i have thought that a tub would work as well and bury it.. at least a few ins

I have a piece of pvc in my pen, but it is for them to run hide in if they are scared since there will not be substate in the entire pen.

For house/hide I have used small plastic containers with a small hole cut in it and filled with substrate and got bigger containers as they grew. Now in my outside pen (kids just went outside Tuesday) I put their smaller plastic container inside of this larger one. Right now they can not get out of the 4 foot stock tank....as they adjust to being outside I will build them ramps/? to be able to get in and out of the tank. I will also fill the tank with more substrate so that they can burrow down to the opening in the plastic container which I will mostly bury. This should give them a very insulated, humid hide.
I posted pictures in the photo gallery
