Hey, hopefully in my next paycheck I'm going to start construction of my tegu enclosure(free up some tank space, and I'm sure he would LOVE the extra room) I have a question though, I have IMO a great idea, a small stream maybe an 1.5-2.5" deep, 3-5" wide, couple feet long. Now what I'm wondering, any suggestions? I want a pump that will keep the water flowing but keep the current low enough for safe crossing, soaking and drinking etc. does anybody know of a pump of that sort? Another thing, would it even be possible to add a water feature of this extent to a 8x4x3 or a 10x4x3 enclosure? Is there anything else I should consider about adding a large flowing water source? Hopefully this can work as I think it would be great for a tegu that adores swimming like mine. I look forward to input.
Thanks, Perry. _________________ 1.0 Bearded Dragon

I would think a tegu would constantly dam it by tossing and knocking substrate in it. If you can figure a way around that, that wouldnt look hidious then a circulating pond pump should work. I would also add some type of drain system for easy cleaning because with out a doubt it will get polluted quickly whether the tegu is tossing substrate in it or not.
