Well, this is there first day out of the cages since they laid down for brumation 3 months ago. But its short lived, they are back down resting some more. The smaller one is my blue female that is about 3yrs old and the larger is my male b/w thats just a bit over a year and a half .

Congrats on them waking up.I'm sooooo close wanting to dig up my Zeus.I know I shouldn't.I just got him in December of 07 so I'm new to that hibernating thing and it worries me.Are you not afraid of them taking of when you let them free roam out side like this ? I took my Leonidas out side and put him on the ground ( for the fist time, usually I hold him and he is fine ) and he almost took of but thank God I had him on a leash icon_lol.gif .When do they usually come out of hibernation and stay out ?

Great looking Tegus.

How big is the B&W?

My little guy, 29" is 6-8 months old and I'm trying to do some growth rate comparisons. He gets out weekly and spend as much as 4 hours at a time basking and froliking in the sun.
