I'll be getting a 20" tegu soon, and wanted to show you guys my layout of how I'm gonna feed him.

handful crickets/roaches everyday dusted with calcium on mondays and fridays. Dusted with Vitamins every wednesday.

Fruits/veggies like apples bananas lettuce etc every other or 2 days.

Anything else?

I would be careful with feeding him/her to much banana and no spinach. Here is some info for you.Hope that helps.Good luck with him/her.Also please do not feed him/her in the enclosure. He could get impacted ( that happened to mine ones and it was bad ) and it will help him not to get aggressive later on when he sees you putting your hand in his enclosure and he thinks that you have food for him ( he could bite you ).What you can do is get a clean empty bin for him.

Thanks for the info. I'll probably feed him banana once a month, if that. Also, I know not to feed him in the cage, I have a black throat monitor already and he is always fed in a seperte cage to prevent cage aggression and what not.

Feeding is easy early, but once he's bigger, watch out they eat so much. I can't seem to keep mine full.

One more question, is ok to feed them fruits and vegetables inside their enclosure? OR should I feed those outside as well?

Also, are cucumbers ok to feed?

as long as he doesn't asee you putting them in, like in the morning or when he's in the hide, but you should do most of the feeding out of the cage

Alright thanks, so I was reading around. And I keep reading different stuff about the same stuff, like some say melons and cantilopes are fine, others say no. Some say grapes are fine others say no. Some say you don't need to feed vegetables and just fruits and others say you need to.

So what fruits are ok to feed? Are vegetables necessary? If so, which ones are ok?
