Hi im Sara and I was wondering what the best kind of tegu to have as a pet is? I cant get one for a year or 2 but I was wondering so i no which one to reaserch. I heard that the Argentina Tegus are good but i want 2nd opinions . Also i would like to know all the different kinds, how big they get and what there tempermant is like. Thanks for your help.

most of them are really tame. all can be tame. with proper handling and "training" arg. b.w. or blues are prolly one of the best choices.. id say.. reds have some shedding problems, colombians get a bad name from people.. i myself have one and shes a sweet heart. wouldnt hurt anyone.. args get the biggest about 4.5 foot. there are giant white heads that get over 5 foot i have been told... they all are great pets and love people.. for the most part.

umm...lol...well i already have 2 bearded dragond, 1 leopard gecko, 2 fish, and 2 dogs...lol...that and the money issue...but I said id pay but still no go...shes stuborn...im still tryin though...

Black and Golds can be very tame, they just need alot more love and time. Argentines are just alot more out-going. My next addition will be a red. My Arg. black and white is more like a cat than a lizard. Very smart. Meanah is a good referance for the possibilities of a black and gold as a pet. _________________ 1.0 African Rock Python

trust me she knows...i told her...and all she said was that she would help find someone to buy it...she drives me nuts sometimes...she cant even give me a logical reason y she wont let me get it...she said i dnt help around the house enough...and i even said i would take care of it and she wouldnt have to touch it...like i said with my gecko and ive stuck by that...but she wont budge...

yea im 16...lol...but yea right...ive used every excuse in the book over the past 16 years to get her to get me a pet...at one point we had around 36, most of them were mice cause we bred 2 of them...lol...so yea anything i try she'll prolly just say that "u said that when we got......" so yea...lol
