i have a concern that may be some what bad and some what unable to sort out.
recently i built a tank measuring 5x3x2ft i have a 160 basking bulb at one end and a 1 meter repti glo 10.0 also. basically starting from the other end goes along. im hitting temps on the basking side at 37-41 but cannot get the other side cool enough at a steady 23-25. its so warm in there its even making my bedroom really hot and dry, the cool side is sometimes hitting 32 which isnt good. i came back today and saw max had completly wrecked the place and burried underneath all the substrate, and when i came to move everything out,to give it a good clear out, i found him under his hide at the bottom of the tank. im assuming hes very warm and trying to keep cool. i just carnt understand how this is hitting temps like this, a few eeks ago was fine but lately its beginning to get worse.because at one point it wasnt getting hot enough, only hitting 35-37 on the basking spot and 20-24 on the cool side.nothings changed about what ive done, its just getting so hot.and im not sure what and how i can do to maybe stop this.ive now drilled another circle next to the cool end, and place a vent there.theres a big vent at the back one of those long ones. were you can slide the grill to either cover or open.,i dont even use the cover now and also i have a 80mm pc fan pulling air in and blowing at the spot light.im gunna see how this goes. ive had to even leave a good 10mm gap at each end of the sliding glass, so some can escape, is there anything people have done to provent this from happening. if so could you give me some pointers.

the only thing i have done with mine cause i was having the same problem is put a lil 7 in table clipping fan on one side pointing down into the cage where the lights are.. i noticed in 2 hours the temps dropped over 15F so i think that could help u as well _________________ 0.1.0 Colombian Tegu
