ok so the lights i had first got didt do crap. for the warm area i could only get it to like 64 and the basking area only to 85 in a 75 gallon tank. and that was using:
repta sun basking bulb 100watt
sun glow coil lantern 58 watt
so i just got 2 new ones:
exo terra infrared 150w
exo terra sun glo tight beam 150w

sounds real good.
just keep an eye on the temps and humidity. it's hard to do with the screen tops. perhaps you can place a towel over half for now. _________________ 0.1.0 B/W Colombian tegu

yup we placed a towel on the colder side.
but now for the cooler side it was getting to warm so we changed back to the other light. and her bascking spot is just right
I am using an aquarium temp for my little one and I was having the same problems. I went down to Lowes and bought a sheet of their really thin plexi glass (13 dollars) and had it cut into sections. I placed that over the top at various parts, leaving various gaps here and there between the sections, for ventilation. It does wonders to help my humidity and for keeping heat in!
