hi all well i got my tegu last week and he has settled in well icon_biggrin.gif

anyway today im going to start his new enclosure for when he is bigger icon_biggrin.gif

its going to be 12ft long 3ft wide and 4ft tall icon_biggrin.gif

just after ideas on what you guys have done in your set ups really icon_biggrin.gif

im going to set up a misting system in there for humidity

and another thing is what substrate you all using in adult vivs ?

Many keepers use Cypress mulch. I do. In my area of the country (and world) it is readily available and reasonable. It works well, holds humidity, etc. Good idea on the misting sytem. Another suggestion is to make sure it's not overly ventilated of you will have a very difficult time keeping the humidity level where it should be (around 70 percent). Also, invest in a GOOD UV setup (like Megaray) and you won't have to wonder about the quality of the UV that your Tegu(s) is getting. This is an important area that a lot of people skimp on. Since proper UV is critical to your pet's health, if you going to skimp on something, don't let it be your UV lighting. Those are my few thoughts/suggestions...
