hey everyone. im a newbie and commented to let you all know me and my boyfriend bought a 2year old male black and white about two weeks ago.it didnt work out wit him as we discovered he had an infection so the guy we bought him off took him back. we decided to start off with two babies instead...the are gorgeous one male and one female and we will be breeding them! thing is the second day the tank was left open and the female was nowher to be found!searched everwher for three days and still nothing!my boyfriend was so dissapointed as she was his bday present. we presumed she got outside and wouldnt b seen again so we went and got a new baby lol. five days later (today) the runaway was spotted casually sittin infront of the heater in the office!threw her back in the tank and now we have three haha! its a mystery where she got to as we searched everwhere and we never heard a sound of her moving. im amazed she survived the five days!

I remember when I brought home my first Arg. B/W tegu from the reptile show and he got out I was so mad and worried to where this guy went he was about 16" long and lost looked every where under the bed? nope! under the couch? nope! So when I went to the Bathroom all of a sudden I here scratching well I look around and then I said to my self wow how did he get in the cabinet? Well he didn't get in the cabinet he sliped in under the base board and was in between the cabinet and the floor I then called my wife laughing and wondering how I am I going to get him out So I asked my wife if she can see if she can put her hand in there and get him but it was to tight. So I had to literally Cut out a 12" X 12" hole under my sink to get the little guy out.

So please check your base boards and make sure you see where your tegus are going.  :D
