Well, I bought another tegu, a male red the same size as my Kreacher. This one also comes from Varnyard. I really like his stuff! I'll post pics as soon as he arrives. I think the girls wanted to name him Rexie as in T-Rex. Since we're such Harry Potter fans, the male should be called Kreacher and the female should be named Winky...gotta know the story.
So, now I'm going to try to move both of them into a larger enclosure, new to both of them, and see if they will live together. I've never introduced tegus before and I wonder if it will work. _________________ Laura R (FL)

question laura, what do your tegus think of your ameiva? have they ever met?
i bet they'd try to eat it, but it'd be cool if they diden't as the housing requirements look amazingly similar. it'd be cool to see a pair of little ameiva's following a lumbering b/w _________________ 1.1.0 Arg B/W Tegu Joker n Groxy

Oh, I'm quite sure someone would eat that poor Amevia! Ok, if they could catch it! He's not very big, only 5-6" SVL, but looong tail. Talk about skittish...he likes me when I'm opening the enclosure and feeding him, but if I actually have to catch it, he acts like he's about to die of a heart attack. If he ever got loose, I don't think I'd have a snowball's chance of actually catching him. He's a neat display lizard for my home, though.
We're changing up the inventory around here-bringing in some, moving some out. I'll have to put some pics up next week, if anyone's actually interested in what lives at my house. _________________ Laura R (FL)

NO! LOL! But that frog thing is my new computer background! Wait until the girls go to check their email! Man, I wish I had one of those! My daughter wants to learn how to use some morph software like that. _________________ Laura R (FL)

LOL! Those are my daughter's hands! I thought about that when I was uploading the pics from the camera. OK, so excuse the nail polish that is chipping off...she has them nice and newly blacked now. At least she has nails...I pick at mine. They get so dry from washing them so much with so many critters to clean up after.
I don't think there will be a problem with Daytona this weekend. The storm should be far enough out of the way not to cause any problems. Besides, the Ocean Center could be a shelter itself! _________________ Laura R (FL)

yes, well i know that and you know that
but people who are unfamiliar, like the out of state/international crowd, get paranoid
i remember how down the numbers were in 2004 since it was the day after charlie, only time i have driven I-4 seemingly by myself and it looked like green carpet most of the way
anyway, here's to empty bank accounts! _________________ 0.1 Giant Tegu

well, as we are discussing this, the storm keeps changing and is just SOAKING the coast. I'm not sure what will happen at Daytona, but I'll be there Sunday. _________________ Laura R (FL)
