how long will it take for him to grow out of this cage he is in a 4 1/2 x 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 75 gallon tank he is about 2 1/2 feet long

I think you should get him a bigger home now. a good rule of thumb is it should at least double their body length.
is that a cardboard hide ? watch this video. this is much better and not expensive at all.

do you have UVB ?

ya i have a uvb and no onlt the one part is cardbord (temperarly) the rest is partical bord thanks for the link
