nightmares

last night i had a BAD nightmare of my tegu.
he was in a 1 gallon tank with no substrate and a very wet floor. i came back 1 hour later and he was dead-split in half,very bloated & white looking and was oozing some kind of pus or something from his tail.
that was a gross dream,anyone had a nightmare of your reptiles like this?

yes,I did just a few days ago.But I had the dreams after my son's snake already died the day before.

maybe it is a warning sign.

brutal man, just brutal.

the only dreams about tegus i have are of my girl raking my face with her claws, but thats allways right before i wake up with her trying to smother me.

she has a weird habit of trying to cover my mouth and nose with her belly when i'm sleeping in on weekends.

that is tooooo funy.I hope she will not poop on you one day.Sorry about that thought but I took allot of naps with our two Tegus and there were times that they pooped on me but thank God they were laying on my chest or next to me.

thats hilarious you guys sleep with your tegus.
do your tegus try to get off the bed?
more often i do have dreams of catching water snakes and plated lizards.
but yes,in my dreams they do bite back.

...lol, it's more like when I wake up there's a tegu in my bed or under my pillow.

No,they don't try to get away.When they wake up and they are hungry we can hear them breathing really hard ( like a huffing and puffing sound ) and the tongue sounds like it's going 100 mph

yea, she never gets into bed untill i'm asleep.

here's a really messed up story, about a month ago i buy this baby chicken for my tegu. So groxy's fast asleep and i'm laying on my bed watching a movie. the chicken won't leave me alone walking all over me, and being very loud and obnoxious unless i cup it in my hand. it totally tames down and finally finds itself a spot wedged between my neck and my pillow and shuts up finally. so it gets late, and i set the chick down in groxy's tank (groxy sleeps under a desk by the tank most the time) the little chick falls asleep under groxy's heat lamp and i fall asleep.
next morning i get up to go to work, not a second thought about the chick, just figured groxy'll eat it when she wakes. so i go to work. when i get home groxy is under her lamp, and the chick is gone. so i figure she ate it. i sit down on my bed and push my blankets to the foot of the bed.......out rolls the body of the chicken.....little guy woke up in the middle of the night and tried to sleep with me, i imagine my nightly tossing turning flailing and dreaming ended it's life. never have i felt more sad about a feeder, nor disgusted that i slept on a chicken all night. I feed the corpse to groxy, and try to forget. but i will never forget how messed up the whole situation was.
**Shudder**
i actually haven't bought a chick since.

what a sad story.At least it got squished by you ( and it felt loved until than ) and not brutally killed by Groxy.It would of made a great pet.You could of had fresh eggs every morning

i'd love to have a pet chicken, but they crap way too much for me to deal with.

some of the best comedy is watching two chicks fight over a mealworm.
