I am just wondering how Shipping a Tegu works and how would it be done if it was Shipped from Usa to Canada? I have never shipped anything or been shipped anything live. So I am cluecless

- How does person initially get it sent to me? (ex like putting in box taking it too..?)
- Hows it packaged?
- Hows it taken to me?
- Hows price determined?
- What happen if they send it wrong place?
- Does it takes days or weeks?

Thanks

Hallooooooooo,

Normally with any live animal shipment they are sent air freight as this is about the quickest way. In the states they can also use UPS ( or similar courier services) but they won't do it across border.
To ship to Canada they will need an exporter permit, and you may need an importer permit to clear them through customs.
I would recommend, that unless you are looking for something from a specific breeder, I would check out the reptile shows and shops. If you are in the TO area ( I am assuming, since you are 905-Rob) there are shows every couple of months, and I have been told that they are often sold there.
If you aren't able to make it to the reptile show, go into one of the local stores and see if they can order them for you. I know that a lot of them order their reptiles from Mirdo in Montreal, and they have them on the list currently.
Worse case scenario let me know that you want one, and I'll order it in for you and you can come and get it.

hello Rob, two of our members that I can think of right now are from Canada and their usernames are ' Ben3233 " and ' smicky ' if you want to drop them a private message and ask. of course they are very friendly and knowledgable. 'smicky' just got his second b/w argentine from a place called mega zoo I believe.
