I didn't even think of that. I went on this website: http://www.sniksnak.com/plants-toxic.html

Turns out, Mother-in-Law Tongue (also calledSnake Plant - foliage), is toxic. According to that site anyways.

She did bite it but she did not eat any. I wont let her near it now. Its my only plant.

Thanks for the tip

Your welcome.I'm glad I could help.I had animals for years and my dog ( he was a puppy at that time ) was the only one that every got into eating something toxic. That's when I started doing more research and I'm allot more careful now what I have at home and in the yard. Here is another link that I found.Good luck with your Tegu and I hope that we get to see more videos of your Tegu every now and than icon_wink.gif .

That's just cruel. Make it run around thinking it's getting food. Not sure I think treating an animal this way for our amusement is ok. But from the posts I'm clearly in the minority.

I'm bothered by how "important" we claim to be to our tegus and yet think it's ok to tease them this way as if they enjoy it. We may enjoy it but they don't. That tegu clearly just wants to get a hold of whatever that is to eat it.

I'm surprised that some of you are so amused and condoning of such treatment.

Ok off my soap box.

I have to agree with greentriple...

Even if it doesn't "hurt" the Tegu, I do thing that it was...not really necessary to tease them.

I am quite sure that the Tegu wasn't "playing" or "enjoying" this scene. He was probably looking for food.

However, this is just my opinion. icon_wink.gif
