Well I desided I should try out some other fruits as our big red and little B&W liked grapes so much they would come running for them.
Well those strawberries didnt stand a chance with those two...
Hector our little B&W came running to see what this big red thing I tossed into his cage was and emediatly grabbed it and started chewing it down to a bit of red pulp that could be swallowed. And my red was already retired for the night but I knocked on his piece of bark to let him know something was going on. I put down his dish and he emediatly turned around under his bark to take a look at what was in the dish this time. Well I really REALLY wish I had my camera at hand and ready to snap a picture that moment. He looked SO cute as he took out the first strawberrie by the little bit of branch that was still attached to it. Imagine a big red head peeking out from under a large piece of bark with a strawberrie hanging out of his mouth at the very tip of his snouth...
I think its safe to say our tegu's like strawberry _________________ 1.0.0 T.rufescens

My tegus love almost any "sweet" fruit. Strawberrys, Kiwi, Banana, etc.. Sometimes, but not often they will eat mellons like honeydew, cantaloupe, etc.

Maybe I'll try a mellon next then.
Still wish I had that camera near by when Karel ate that strawberry...I'll be sure to have it when I give them the next new fruit! _________________ 1.0.0 T.rufescens
