An adult blue tegu generally reaches 3 feet long. So the enclosure for an adult tegu should be 6 feet long, 3 feet wide, 2 or 2.5 feet tall. A smaller enclosure can be used at various stages of growth. If you are using a 4 foot long, 2 or 2.5 feet wide enclosure you can house a tegu comfortably until it is 2 to 2.5 feet long. So if your tegu is a hatchling blue tegu it can be in that enclosure for a while.
