I know little about them but perhaps another member does. I'd google for info until someone replies.

Perhaps there is a 'thesudanlizard.com' out there somewhere. icon_wink.gif

not so smart icon_biggrin.gif . I used to own two of them, they were nifty little animals to have. I feed them superworms, crickets, etc. and they would occasionally eat some fruit. I kept them together in a 3 ft by 1 ft enclosure, kept the humidity low and the heat high (80-85 amb., 100+ basking spot). On the cool side I had rock structure with stacked up flat rocks with lots of little crevices they could wedge themselves into - they seemed to like that. I also used UV lights, though I don't know if they are necessary (personally I use UV for everything but snakes and nocturnal geckos).

They were both pretty calm and didn't seem to enjoy being handled but tolerated it with no agression and minimal squirming.

I'd encourage you to do your own research, I have no idea if what I did was the best way to keep them, but it was what I had success with icon_biggrin.gif

Well you could probably get by with a 20 gal - but that's definetly a bare minimum IMO. Do yours like to climb? odd...mine didn't... weeeiiirrdddd. Mabye we had/have different species - from what I remember there are a number of different species in the trade that all look pretty similar - enough that pet stores are probably mis-labeling a lot of what they sell. But hey good luck, they are cute and docile.
