i was thinking about how i would keep a tegu, and of course humidity was a question. My collareds dont need humidity as their arid reptiles, so the humidity question is new to me. i know misters are used, but what about using a humidifier? im asking cuz my mom has two of them lying around and i thought that these would be perfect to humidify a tarrarium, or maybe im wrong. the misters seem cool, but maybe a humidifier works.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. You mean like a vaporizer? I would think that would work just fine. It's doing the same thing....just adding water to the air, which is the whole point. You might still want to have an area where the mulch actually gets a little wet....my guy seems to look for just such an area at times. The reds are more dependent on proper humidity than the black and whites are, too...
