what the temperature to have when hibernating ? i dont wanna be afraid when he gonna hibernate so ....i read that when its to hot his metabolisme go faster but too cold i imagine its not good too.

smicky, I read that Rick the admin of theTegu forum hibernates his tegus at 65F and the cooler the temps makes them go into hibernation. Rick breeds the tamest tegus. take a look at his website, all those cute little tegus coming to him and walking on him icon_cool.gif

thanks , by the way how 2 know if the tegu is healthy ? feet ? skin ? eye ? tongue ?

Make sure the Tegu has clear looking eyes.When he/she is walking it shouldn't have a limp or twitching.With the skin I really don't know but I would look for any cuts so there will not be any infections.I would take him to a reptile vet and get him checked ( like the stool ) for parasites.Hope that helps.

Bonjour icon_biggrin.gif I think you will feel if something is wrong with him. he should be alert, clear eyes, no limps, no lumps, no bumps and all fingers and toes icon_lol.gif and are very curious.
tho' a quick vet check would be valuable to the both of you icon_wink.gif

emm its like 5 or 6 month i want mine , before that i didnt know the tegu , and i order im on the first week of march , i have another month max 2 waitin ....each wednesday i hope to get a call of the place i order him ( they receive the list of the available stuff from the breeder each wednesday )
