scratch that, im gonna grab a ceramic emitter with a rheo, use the heat bulb for a basking spot, after seeing what happened to the heat mats i gave kat.......im staying away from those till i get some more boas
that did it, its perfect now, 84 ambient 103-105 basking spot, lots of mulch so she can burrow and cool off. one thing tho, ive read a few times now that night cycle temps can be as low as 68, is that alright for her? or should i leave it where it is, my house is a constant 68 so i could just turn everything off at night and back on in the morning. anyway, if anyone has a sugegstion id love to hear it. thx
I looked at it again when I remembered your second layer Idea... I dont think she needs it. btw what did you end up doing the heat lamp and the vita bulb? Or 2 heat lamps?
either way it looks good and I think as long as its warm down by her, you dont need the second layer she may or may not even use it anyway.
i bouaght a new lamp and a ceramic 150 watt heat emitter. so i have three lamps now, one for eth heat bulb (over the basking area) the heat emitter in the middle, and the vita bulb on that right side cocked sideways so it shines thru the whole cage. she cant reach any of them, so no burn worries.
