Thank you, for the support and if he dosen't want him, Red_ Tegu28 you can have him I am only asking for the shipping cost which you can set up your self with UPS or FEDEX I would just need a two day heads up so he doesn't travel on a full stomach.

Thats what I have been quoted from UPS You are more then welcome to set up your own If you know anyone cheaper let me know He is a big guy and he is going to be in a big box I am not trying to smash him in a tiny box to save cost I rather he be safe then showing up dead on your door step.
I am going to ether Keep him and take txgirl's advice or Venmousdave can have him I beleive he might have found a better price and to be honest I rather he take him. So when ever you are ready Dave Let me Know he will be here for you. My wife took time out of her work to find out how much it would be to send to North carolina.
If you are complaining about $80 then how can you afford to take care of him RED_TEGU28. I guess it is ment to be and If you try to order one or buy one from the pet shop they start at $100-$150+ shipping.

Our Zeus was a few months old already and at the reptile store they ask $225 for him.But since they had him for a while ( he was skittish and bit the employees, not us ) and we buy a lot of stuff from them we got him for $150 and he was a lot smaller than your Tegu Alek.Yea,the bigger they get the more you have to pay for them.I still can't believe that you are giving him away for free.Wow.To bad we can't take him ( I know I already told you that ).

Don't worry txrepgirl, If it is meant to be for me to keep and be it he is really a strong, healthy and very nice looking and tame tegu he falls asleep on my chest.
I think I am going to try to let him hybernate and see if I can keep her up threw it so may be they will catch up in size.
I will keep the adoption open and I hope Venmousdave can come threw he seemed like he had alot of experiance and loved reptiles so we will see who is next.
NOTE: Adoption will be still open to serious reptile experianced and show proof of houseing for the tegu only. People have to understand that he is not small and will take some money to ship. I am not trying to make money off him. Just trying to make sure he is going to be in a good place.
you know Alek this is so very tempting for me. I have been reading this and thinking about it since you started. I know he must be healthy if he is yours. he would look nice with the big girl I just adopted.
presently, I am working on getting two more tegus and if that falls through I might take you up on this.

Yes they are, I don't think people understand that Argentinian Tegus are the one reptile that get better with age.
I would Keep him but he will over power my female. I have been talking to Rick and he has been helping me find a male the same size of my female which is 19". He is about 29-30" long FYI. and If you have or know some one with a male about that size or maybe a inch smaller. I would like it to be a Blue or white head let me know.
If you can keep him until the middle or end of september ill give him a good home. It will give me time to get home from my archaeological excavations and surveys in Wyoming.
One of my renters who rents a room from me is a herbtologist (I can never spell it correctly) My house is 1/4 of a mile from a collage that protects and cares for reptiles and amphibians. I am lucky enough to be able to maintain and keep a tegu though my own efforts and support of many, many scientists and animal physicians I personally know. So I can promise to make sure your baby is safe as the day you first laid your hands on him.
