He was given to me as a rescue, no UV lighting, kept in a make shift cabinet cage, more suitable for an iguana... He was way underfed and skinny to the bone when I got him, I have had him now for about a year, he has tripled in size and is back on track. However the neglect left a few issues, he was suffering from MBD pretty bad when I first got him, but he has been under UV bulbs since I got him, and I do put him outside in my suncage periodically. He seems to crawl/slide around more than standing up and walking on all fours, but he gets around with no trouble at all. He is plate fed (like all my tegus) which really helps with feeding response and with taming. He is as tame as he can be, he will try to run but if you hurry and get him on your shoulder he chills out, he just hates that feeling of nothing beneath him, and not having support. I really want him to go to a home where he is the only tegu, and you need to know how to care for the lizard!
