That's a lovely specimen. She looks very alert and intelligent. That first pic definitely looks feminine, but only in a human sense. I don't know if even tegus can tell tegu boys from girls when they are that young.

Congrats Pikey! I'm hoping to get a blue this year as well, if we can get a bigger apartment! Any pictures of the parents?

Aw, such a beautiful blue! HernandosMom is right, it definitely looks intelligent. Parent pics? I'm sure your new baby's gonna grow up to be an even better looking adult. I'm sure you can't wait for her to get there. It kinda does look feminine a bit, but you never know unless you probe I guess *shrug*

It doesn't look like a Blue to me, maybe a hybrid. It doesn't have the wide black stripe down the side or the "burnt" nose. It's too small to be 1 year old. I have a hold back Blue (9 months old) that's a bit on the small side and he's probably nearly twice the size of that one.

nope no parent pics, only talked to the company, they way it is the girl got it from a expo in white plains NY in 09, the breeder was the one running the both, I have the breeders name from Cold Blooded, but they guarantee that it is 100% blue and the breeder is sound

I breed Blue's and go to the White Plains show often. Sold some Blue hatchlings there in 08, almost sold out before the January show this year. Blue's normally hatch in September & October. Yours looks to be way too small to be hatched11 months ago. I'd guess it's maybe 6 months old. Otherwise it hasn't been fed very well I'm its 11 months.

she said it ate good, had great care, burmated, but just never really grew. I believe her on the care she runs a reptile "educating" company. but is moving or something so she is selling almost every thing she has. here is her website - http://www.reptilesontheroad.com/

but how could it only be like 6 months they cant be imported? So if it by chance was imported wouldn't make it even better? Because that would be "new blood" to the blue breeding pop in the US.

Ah! I know her! She bought a Dumerils Boa from me and was going to buy a Suriname Boa. I emailed her last week and heard about her situation. That's too bad, it shouldn't happen to anybody. She's made a few posts on TeguTalk under 2 or 3 different names the last one being LadyVenom.

Compare the pics you posted to pics of Blue's in the Blue Tegu section of TeguTalk and make your own determination. Maybe I'm missing something seeing the pics on my phone.

If it is imported it would be a B&W. I thing I remember her getting it last year and it was very small.
